Abstract

In this paper, based on the available literature, the presence of parasitic species of the class Trematoda and Cestoda in fish of the Drina River is shown. The results of several years of research on the Drina River have shown a high species diversity of plant and
animal life. The results of the research in this study showed the presence of 8 species of the class Trematode and two species from the class Cestodes in the studied fish. The established Trematodes are from the order Monogenea (Gyrodactylus salaris) and the order Digenea (Rhipidocotyle campanula, Rhipidocotyle illense, Azygia lucii, Nicolla skrjabini, Diplostomum spathaceum, Pseudochetosoma salmonicola and Acrolichanus auriculatus). Trematodes were found in 12 species of fish belonging to 6 families: Salmonidae, Cyprinidae, Percidae, Esocidae, Siluridae and Acipenseridae. In the Drina River, the presence of two species of Cestoda: Amphilina foliacea and Caryophyllaeus fimbriceps was found in the long-nosed bream.
