Mechanism for Submitting and Handling Complaints and Disputes

The journal Radovi Poljoprivredno-prehrambenog fakulteta is committed to upholding the highest ethical standards in scientific publishing. Accordingly, a transparent mechanism has been established for handling complaints, conflicts of interest, and ethical concerns.

1. Appeals Against Editorial Decisions

Authors have the right to appeal editorial decisions (e.g., manuscript rejection) if they believe that the decision was made based on incomplete information or that the peer review process was not fair.

Appeals should be submitted via email to: radovi@ppf.unsa.ba, with the subject line:

“Appeal against editorial decision – [manuscript title]”

The email must include the following information: a description of the complaint, supporting arguments, and evidence. The appeal is reviewed by the Editor-in-Chief in consultation with editorial board members who were not involved in the original decision. A response will be provided within 30 days.

2. Conflicts of Interest

A conflict of interest may involve editors, reviewers, or authors who have personal, professional, or financial interests that could influence objectivity. Reports should be submitted via email to the editorial office, which will assess their validity and decide on exclusion from the process if necessary.

The evaluation of the manuscript will continue objectively, with proper documentation of the decision and preservation of confidentiality.

3. Ethical Complaints

Complaints may include plagiarism, data manipulation, false authorship, duplicate submission, or violations of ethical standards. Reports must be submitted in writing via email to the editorial office.

They must include specific allegations, supporting evidence, and the contact details of the complainant (anonymous reports are acceptable if adequately substantiated). The Editor-in-Chief will establish an ethics committee (three editorial board members not involved in the case). The maximum processing time is 45 days.

4. Contact Person
