Publication Ethics

The journal Radovi Poljoprivredno-prehrambenog fakulteta is committed to promoting the highest standards of ethical conduct at all stages of scientific publishing. The editorial board follows the guidelines and recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

  1. Responsibilities of the Editorial Board

The editorial board makes publication decisions based on the scientific value and relevance of the manuscript. It is responsible for ensuring a fair and unbiased peer review process, as well as protecting the confidentiality of manuscripts and the identities of all participants in the process. The editorial board must also actively respond to allegations of unethical behavior, including plagiarism, duplicate publication, false authorship, and data manipulation.

  1. Responsibilities of Authors

Authors are required to submit original manuscripts that have not been previously published or submitted for consideration elsewhere. They must clearly state the contribution of each author, adhere to authorship rules, and disclose any potential conflicts of interest. Authors are also expected to provide data and evidence if verification of the research is required and to respond to editorial requests regarding corrections, revisions, or additional information.

  1. Responsibilities of Reviewers

Reviewers are required to conduct reviews objectively and within the given deadlines, maintain confidentiality regarding the manuscript, inform the editorial board of any conflicts of interest, and report any suspected irregularities (e.g., plagiarism, non-original data).

  1. Ethical Violations and Procedures

All allegations of potential ethical misconduct are carefully examined. If a violation is confirmed, measures may include issuing a correction, retracting the article, or notifying the relevant institution. Procedures are conducted in accordance with COPE guidelines and principles of fairness and transparency.

  1. Transparency and Integrity

All journal policies, including those related to peer review, authorship, conflicts of interest, retractions, and data protection, are publicly available on the journal’s website. The journal promotes open dialogue, respect for authors’ rights, and the continuous improvement of editorial procedures.
