Code of Editorial Ethics

  1. General Principles

The editorial board of the journal is obliged to act in accordance with the highest ethical and professional standards, respecting the principles of objectivity, transparency, accountability, and academic impartiality at all stages of the editorial and peer review process.

  1. Responsibilities of Editors
  • Ensure an impartial and fair peer review process (double-blind review),
  • Make decisions on the acceptance or rejection of manuscripts solely based on scientific merit and quality,
  • Ensure timely and transparent communication with authors and reviewers,
  • Respect confidentiality and protect data contained in manuscripts,
  • Prevent and report all forms of conflicts of interest and ethical misconduct.
  1. Ethical Conduct Towards Authors
  • Respect authors’ right to a fair peer review process,
  • Ensure clarity in communication, including providing reasons for rejection or requests for revisions,
  • Guarantee the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts,
  • Publish all relevant information on ethical guidelines, authorship, conflicts of interest, and transparency of each author’s contribution.
  1. Relationship with Reviewers
  • Select qualified and independent reviewers without conflicts of interest,
  • Ensure the confidentiality of both reviewers’ and authors’ identities,
  • Expect objective, constructive, and ethically sound reviews,
  • Acknowledge the contribution of reviewers in improving the quality of the journal.
  1. Response to Ethical Concerns

The editorial board is obliged to investigate any allegation of unethical behavior (e.g., plagiarism, false authorship, data manipulation). If confirmed, appropriate measures will be taken in accordance with the journal’s policies (correction, retraction, notification of relevant institutions). All cases will be handled impartially, confidentially, and in a timely manner.

  1. Editorial Independence and Integrity

Editors must not use unpublished material for personal purposes. All decisions must remain independent of commercial, institutional, or personal interests. Any changes to editorial policies must be clearly communicated and documented.
