Ethical Principles and Publishing Standards
The journal Radovi Poljoprivredno-prehrambenog fakulteta fully adheres to the ethical guidelines defined by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). The aim is to ensure transparency and academic integrity at all stages of the publishing process.
- Responsibilities of the Editorial Board
- Editors are responsible for making objective and unbiased decisions regarding the acceptance or rejection of manuscripts, based solely on their scientific value and relevance,
- The editorial board ensures a fair double-blind peer review process,
- Editors and editorial board members must not have any conflict of interest related to submitted manuscripts,
- All cases of suspected unethical behavior by authors (e.g., plagiarism, data manipulation, duplicate publication) will be handled in accordance with COPE guidelines.
- Responsibilities of Authors
- Authors are required to submit original scientific papers that have not been previously published and are not under consideration for publication elsewhere,
- All co-authors must be properly listed, and their contributions to the work clearly defined,
- In the event of identifying an error in a published paper, authors are obliged to promptly inform the editorial board and cooperate in correcting or retracting the paper.
- Responsibilities of Reviewers
- Reviewers are required to provide an objective and timely evaluation of manuscripts,
- Reviewers must recuse themselves from the evaluation process in case of any conflict of interest with authors or institutions,
- Reviews are treated as confidential and must not be shared with third parties.
- Prevention of Plagiarism
- All manuscripts, after the review process, are subjected to originality checks using specialized software such as Turnitin,
- Detected cases of plagiarism will result in mandatory corrections depending on the percentage of plagiarism identified.
- Retraction and Corrections of Papers
- In cases of serious ethical violations or technical errors, the editorial board reserves the right to retract a paper with a clear explanation,
- Corrections and amendments to published papers will be indicated in a dedicated section of the journal.
This policy is aligned with COPE guidelines and serves as the foundation for maintaining scientific and publishing ethics within the journal Radovi Poljoprivredno-prehrambenog fakulteta.
