Abstract

Common ragweed is considered as extremly harmful weed and alergic species in Bosnia and Herzegovina. After it was first found in 1940 in Osojci near Derventa, it was significantly spread all over Bosnia and Herzegovina. Therefore, the aim of the paper is to show that, over decades, the problem caused by ragweed is getting gradually more complex. By reviewing a huge number of publications, various papers, graduate, master and doctoral thesis, books and brochures with data on ragweed were singled out. The research period ranges from 1940 to 2022. A total of 109 publications were stated. The largest number of publications was released in 2015, that is 11 publications, and the largest number by decades is 49 publications released between 2010 and 2019.
