Abstract

Bosnia & Herzegovina (B&H) is one of the most important exporters of edible wild mushrooms in Europe. Today, from B&H, the following are exported: penny bun, girolle, true morel, hedgehog mushroom, and, sporadically in recent times, fairy ring mushroom. The aim of the work was to examine the distribution and appearance time of the potentially resource-rich fairy ring mushroom in a number of localities in Canton Sarajevo and Herzegovina-Neretva canton. The time period of the fairy ring mushroom appearance in new localities can serve as a basis for creating an orientation calendar for picking in the coming period.
