The aim of this research is to establish the external characteristics of the sheep pramenka in the area of northern Herzegovina. The research was conducted on 105 sheep and 30 rams of Dubian pramenka in the area of northern Herzegovina, Konjic Municipality. To determine the main exterior characteristics, basic body measures were taken: height at the withers, length of the body, depth and circumference of the chest. The average measures for female animals were: height at the withers 74.57 cm, body length 79.37 cm, chest depth 33.77 cm and chest circumference 110.11 cm. For rams, the average measures were: height at the withers 84.13 cm, body length 88.53, chest depth 37.63 cm and chest circumference 117.43 cm. Data were absolved using the UNIVARIATE statistical package SAS procedure. The obtained results show slightly higher values than shown by past research on animals belonging to this breed, which can be explained by good breeding conditions and the environment. In order to get a broader picture of the exterior characteristics of the Dubian pramenka, it is necessary to continue research, including a significantly larger number of animals in a wider geographical area.
